...I tried to start the car again it wouldn't start and continued showing the same if it helps when my alternator died it DIDNT put on the battery warning light on the With all those swaps, one of the fuse/relay may have blown.

The positive battery cable will come off the battery and go to a little round black relay that has a rectangular top sticking off it. You have to pop both sides of it and you will see a rectangle car style fuse in there. If you have no power to anything, then ill bet the fuse is blown.

But apparently both the main engine fuses blew. So I think that makes sense: Regardless of the state of the battery and alternator, the engine won't turn over if the main fuses have blown, right? (BTW after the repair, I found that the radio worked but no power was getting to the speakers. That turned out to be a fuse also.)

As a result the car is completely dead. when i push the start button it ust blinks about 8 times and goes off. horn works im wondering if its a security type thing, ive checked fuses, but i dont think a fuse would shut down the whole car like this.

Nov 19, 2018 · You will need to locate the blown fuses by using a voltmeter or consult a mechanic or car audio system diagnosis professional. Some of the fuses to look for are the amp fuses and radio fuses on the car’s fuse block. To find whether a fuse works or is blown, connect the multimeter across the fuse. Then check for any readings.

Not sure about your year, but in some the Slo-Blow fuses are enclosed and can't be visually checked, and sometimes the smaller blade fuses can have a broken fuse element but it would be easily seen. If you checked all the fuses with a continuity checker (e.g., multimeter on low resistance range) then that should be good. Checked the fuses and the ignition fuse was blown. Put in a good fuse and tried again. If you're mechanically inclined you could pull it off and have it tested for free at most auto part stores, but I'd start with a good visual inspection first to make sure there isn't a wiring issue.
